Time to hung em up!
Dear All, Well although it’s hard to believe the day of my retirement is fast approaching, (you can’t be that old I hear you saying!!!) alas I am, and I will be relinquishing my day to day involvement as Chairman of 7formation at the end of the current year.
Whilst sad at the thought of leaving the business and the incredible team of people that are responsible for its success, I am happy to begin my retirement in the knowledge that the company is in such a healthy and vibrant position, and I have no doubt that my fellow directors, Jak, Andy and Neil will continue steering the business on its amazing journey of growth and sustainability.
From our inception in 2008 to the present day, we have always strived to provide our clients with a personal and professional service. We have always carried out our business with a family feel and always with a smile on our face. This ethos has taken 7formation from a standing start, where we employed 6 people, to a predicted turnover for this 2022 trading year north of £40 Million, and employing an incredibly dedicated workforce in excess of 60.
As one door closes, another opens…and as I write this retirement narrative, we have just completed the purchase here in Corby of a 25,000 sq/ft Office and Warehouse space that will become the new home of 7formation Ltd from the start of 2023.
Exciting times indeed, and just as the old feller is leaving!! I would not be able to report on these exciting times and our incredible journey without the support, partnering and friendships that have developed over 14 years with our valued clients and suppliers.
With this in mind, we will be looking to arrange a few get togethers before the end of the year, where you can meet me, our MD Jak Garner along with my successor Jon Myers who will be heading up our sales team. This will enable me to thank you all personally for yourhelp and support, treat our valued clients to a drink, and more importantly allow our valued suppliers the opportunity to buy me one!!!
What will I do in my retirement? Well, I’m planning to play more golf with the aim of getting my handicap below that of Jak. Lots of
traveling with my lovely wife Marie and our dogs George & Molly……spending Grandad time with Felicity and Verity……….and supporting The Posh of course!
In closing, thank you all for being part of my working life-and don’t worry, my phone will still be switched on in 2023 and beyond.
Hopefully we can get together before the end of the year, when I am finally put out to grass…
Steve Rowell
Chairman
