Vertu Motors

Project Description

Client: Vertu Motors
Location: Slough
Duration: 6 weeks

Acting as principal contractor, 7formation were tasked with the internal refurbishment of Mercedes Benz Slough. The job was split into two phases over thirteen weeks.

Phase 1 consisted of the reception area fit out, new toilets, and the formation of two new offices. This included new floor finishes, new dry lining walls and a full electrical fit-out. The first phase was completed with the showroom still open. This was achieved by erecting a hoarding between the ongoing work and the showroom. When the work was completed, this was turned around, so the site was able to remain active.

Phase 2 saw the refurbishment of the showroom itself. This consisted of the removal and replacement of floor tiles downstairs as well as resin floor and the repositioning of electrical boxes to suit a new layout; along with the fitting of two new offices. 7formation also refurbished the mezzanine first floor, fitting new carpet and ceiling tiles, as well as decoration and new lighting.

Throughout both phases, work was also completed on a new handover bay, requiring groundworks, new floor slabs before the fitting of a new glass sliding door.

The project was completed on programme and within budget.
