This would be 7formation’s first project for the German supermarket Lidl. The fit-out would include the construction of a steel
mezzanine with concrete slabs to form the welfare area, along with a separate mezzanine for the plant deck, and a steel portal frame to form the Bakery. A further steel frame was installed to support the full-height glazed lobby. The underside of the roof was sprayed white. All perimeter walls were lined, plastered, and decorated, and a dividing wall was built to form the sales floor, warehouse, toilet, cash office, and DRS room. The unit received ceramic tiles throughout. A full M&E package included a new mains board and BMS panels. The refrigeration works included a combined backup chiller and freezer, dry coolers, and sales floor chiller cabinets. The installation of a full-height glazed lobby and auto doors.
External works included the installation of 3 external signs and 1 totem, with the car park being planned and resurfaced. The works were completed on time and within budget for the store opening on Thursday 5th August.
