7formation is proud to have successfully delivered two new nursery projects for Kids Inc Nurseries, further strengthening our growing partnership with this forward-thinking childcare provider. Completed earlier this year, the schemes saw us undertake a full refurbishment at Aylesbury and deliver a brand-new purpose-built nursery in Basingstoke — which has become the very first net zero nursery in the Kids Inc portfolio.

The Basingstoke project represented a major milestone, designed and built from the ground up with sustainability at its heart. Every element of the scheme was developed through a specialist design and build process to facilitate net zero operation, with sustainability considerations embedded into the fabric of the building. This forward-looking approach has created a modern, efficient, and environmentally responsible space that will support future generations while reducing its impact on the planet.

At Aylesbury, our team transformed an existing nursery through a carefully phased refurbishment programme. The site remained live and operational throughout, so the works were meticulously planned to ensure the children could continue to use the facilities safely while improvements were made. This required close collaboration with the client team, sequencing works to minimise disruption while still achieving a high-quality finish across the space.

Across both projects, local labour was used to help deliver the works, ensuring they brought benefits to the surrounding communities as well as to Kids Inc. The two schemes were completed within a combined eight-month period, showcasing our ability to deliver complex programmes on time, safely and to a high standard — even in challenging live environments.

These projects mark an exciting step forward in our relationship with Kids Inc Nurseries. Together, we’ve created two vibrant, modern environments designed to give children the best possible start — and with Basingstoke setting a new benchmark as their first net zero nursery, we’re proud to be helping shape the future of early years education spaces.
