We have recently started a project alongside the North Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Trust, to create a brand new energy centre at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
Across a 40 week programme duration we are undertaking a full design & build project. The project involves an intense substructure phase to ready the site, before moving on to the superstructure and build of the unit, which follows in to a fit out of the unit. In addition to the building works, we are undertaking an external refresh including roadways works.
The new energy centre allows the trust to meet their 2040 Net Zero obligation through decarbonising Scunthorpe General Hospital. To fund the project, the trust has secured grant funding through the PSDS which puts a focus on reducing carbon output by making upgrades to the heating system to reduce the overall heat demand of the building. The new boiler situated in the energy centre is key to this aim.
