We transformed the façade of an existing car dealership by demolishing a wraparound single-storey
extension and rebuilding a fully glazed double-volume area. The project was phased into two phases: Phase 1, to be completed in 12 weeks, and Phase 2, completed in 24 weeks (running concurrently).
Phase 1 included the complete strip-out of existing MOT, valet, and workshop areas, which involved
remodelling and upgrading the structure, fully refurbishing the internal areas, and overseeing the installation of specialized workshop equipment such as roller brake testers, MOT pit, and vehicle
lifters. It also included technician’s welfare areas and tool racking. We undertook all mechanical
and electrical elements including gas heating & climate control, EV charging, water, air, and oil lines
for the Servicing Workshop.
Phase 2 involved the removal of an existing wraparound single-storey steel-framed structure, approximately 80m x 10m in size, casting new foundations and slabs to accommodate a much larger double-volume steel-framed structure. This new structure was then glazed and clad in Kingspan cladding panels with an insulated single-ply membrane roof. Once weather-tight, all areas were remodelled, including upper office mezzanine areas, canteen, customer toilets, and the showroom itself, which was fitted out with BMW and MINI branding. Works included mechanical and electrical refurbishment throughout, including the plant room, dry-lining, ceilings, floors, joinery, specialized tiling, and full redecoration.
Externally, we transformed the existing spaces into newly resurfaced block paving and tarmac areas. Works included EV charger points, attenuation tank, pumping chamber, gas and water services, drainage upgrades throughout, street lighting, external Wi-Fi points, fibre optic installation, CCTV, fencing, and gates.
