7formation recently completed a comprehensive office refurbishment project for West Northamptonshire Council. The project was delivered in two distinct phases, ensuring minimal disruption in a live environment.

The first phase involved a full strip-out of the existing office layout to create a more open and collaborative environment. This required the removal of outdated partition walls and M&E systems to accommodate a modernised design. New partition walls were constructed to define workspaces while enhancing acoustic performance. Electrical works were carried out throughout the building, including the installation of upgraded power distribution, energy-efficient LED lighting, and structured data cabling. Full-height glazed partitions were installed on each floor, providing visibility across the atrium and allowing for greater natural light penetration. The staff welfare areas also underwent a full refurbishment, integrating new kitchenettes, upgraded flooring, and improved seating arrangements to enhance comfort and usability.

The second phase concentrated on precision joinery, particularly in high-traffic client-facing areas. This included the installation of bespoke reception desks and integrated meeting rooms solutions. Additionally, custom joinery elements were designed to seamlessly align with the council’s branding and operational requirements. Decorative works were carried out throughout all areas. New flooring were installed to ensure durability and ease of maintenance, complementing the overall design scheme. Throughout the project, 7formation adhered to stringent health and safety standards, closely collaborated with stakeholders, and implemented sustainable construction practices to reduce environmental impact. The successful completion of this refurbishment has provided West Northamptonshire Council with a fully modernised, functional, and aesthetically refined office environment.
