Projects

7formation is proud to have successfully delivered two major refurbishment projects for West Northamptonshire Council, acting as the principal contractor for the transformation of Towcester Forum and One Angel Square. These projects were strategically phased to allow the council to remain fully operational throughout, with our team carefully planning each stage to minimise disruption to staff and visitors while delivering high-quality modern workplaces that reflect the council’s vision.

At Towcester Forum, our 19-week programme breathed new life into the building. We installed new carpet tiles and completed full redecoration throughout, while also reconfiguring meeting rooms to create open-plan spaces that encourage collaboration and flexible working. The project included the installation of new electrical and mechanical systems to enhance functionality and energy efficiency, as well as the addition of glazing around the atrium and internal structural alterations to open up the space and create a brighter, more inviting environment.

Meanwhile, at One Angel Square, our 36-week programme followed a similar scope, transforming all three floors into a sleek, modern workspace. New flooring was installed throughout to complement the refreshed design, and every element was delivered to meet the council’s specific requirements. Both projects demanded meticulous planning and close coordination with council teams to ensure that essential operations could continue while works progressed, and our ability to phase and sequence works effectively was key to their success.

Beyond delivering exceptional physical results, 7formation embedded social value at the heart of these projects. We worked with local contractors and suppliers wherever possible, helping to boost the regional economy and support local businesses. We also created opportunities for apprentices and work experience placements, helping to nurture future talent within the construction industry. Sustainability was a key focus, with efforts made to reduce waste, recycle materials, and install energy-efficient systems that will lower the council’s long-term environmental footprint. Throughout both projects, we maintained open lines of communication with council staff and the wider community, ensuring their needs were heard and that the projects were delivered with their best interests in mind.
